Description:

A legendary swordsmith, Toutousai is the one who crafted Tessaiga and Tenseiga, the swords used by Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru. He crafted these swords from fangs donated by Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru's father. He appears in a few episodes riding his three-eyed magical cow (don't ask), and does have some pertinent information about Tessaiga and its connection to Inuyasha. Personality: Toutousai loves what he does for a living. He is generally friendly to everyone, knowledgeable, and even tactful. At other times, he's obviously ticked off by some people (like evil ex-apprentices), but he's still a nice guy. Skills: I'm not quite sure what to make out of Toutousai's ability to breath fire. He has to be a demon simply judging from the fact that he can breathe fire, invoke magical properties into weapons, and has lived a pretty long time, but no one in the show has made a point of what type of demon he is. He, of course, uses this ability to makes swords mostly, but he also used it once to stop Sesshoumaru from fighting Inuyasha when Inuyasha was, shall we say, not himself.
